Resolution No. 22 - National Meeting of Métis From Every Part of Canada

Whereas The Native Council of Canada recognizes the specific difficulty that has become apparent in the implementation of the Aboriginal and Treaty Rights of the Métis peoples of Canada; and 

Whereas A workshop on Métis Perspectives held in conjunction with the 1994 Assembly has identified the critical necessity to increase communication between all Métis representative groups in Canada. 

Therefore, be it resolved: 

That this Annual General Meeting of the Native Council of Canada call for a national meeting of Métis representatives from every part of Canada; and 

Be it further resolved 

that this Assembly mandates and instructs ts incoming National Executive and Executive Council to actively pursue and promote, in conjunction with other Métis representative organizations and the Confederacy of Métis Peoples in Canada, that such a national meeting be held within 18 months.
